Our Story
CaseFlow Automation has spent over 25 years inside UK motor claims, credit hire, and accident management. We have built, run, and refined the processes that sit behind every total loss file. We know where the time goes, where compliance gaps appear, and what customers actually experience when their car is written off.
The frustration was always the same. A handler spends 20 to 30 minutes on the phone explaining a settlement that could be presented digitally in under 5 minutes. The customer gets inconsistent information depending on who picks up. The compliance trail is patchy at best. We built TotalSettle because we were tired of watching good teams lose hours on a task that should be self-serve.

Chris Latham
Director, Operator Lead
25+ years in UK motor claims and credit hire. Started at Kindertons Accident Management in 1995 and stepped away in 2017 as Group Operations Director, having scaled the business into a market leader.
Returned from 2021 to 2025 to lead a critical operational recovery, including a cash recovery programme and the automation of core claims workflows.
Founded Optimus Consulting in 2021 and CaseFlow Automation shortly after. Investor in KinClaims Technology. Trained on the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Member of the Federation of Small Businesses. Certified Relay.app AI Agent Builder.
Craig Budsworth
Director, Technical Lead
One of the most credentialled figures in UK credit hire. Former Chair of MASS (2012-2014), leading industry strategy during the whiplash reforms. Founding director of MedCo Registration Solutions and CILEx member of the Civil Justice Council (2012-2018).
Most recently Group Technical Director at AX (2023 to 2025) and Legal Director, Credit Hire at AX (2017 to 2022). Director of Craig Budsworth Legal Services Ltd. Trainer at MASS since 2005, covering the Diploma and credit hire.
Author of credit hire publications including 'No Longer On The Spot', 'Copley and Maden' and 'Spot-on Credit Hire'. Awarded the CILEx President's Medal in 2011 and shortlisted for Claimant Lawyer of the Year in 2014.
